Distraction free writing in a new way



Intextive Typewriter allows you to focus on your writing by entering characters at a fixed position. The text grows out from that position. This means that your focus of attention don’t have to move so much when you are writing. This is really the natural way of writing. This style for writing was used in the classic typewriter (that’s why this app has “Typewriter” in its name). In the days when writing was computerized it was difficult to implement this style of writing - instead editors were implemented with fixed text and moving insertion point (cursor).

Distraction free writing is also facilitated as tools and settings are discretely hidden when you start writing text.



Retro design



Because Intextive Typewriter has a writing style that resembles the classical typewriter, the design has adopted style elements from classic typewriters. A function, which is only a gimmick is the bell sounded near the end of a line. The bell is unnecessary as line breaks are automatically inserted, but it provides that nostalgic feeling.



Word completion



Intextive Typewriter simplifies writing by showing suggested word completions on the keys of the keyboard. This is especially practical as you will see the suggestions when looking at the keys (and on an iPad it is anyhow impossible to write without looking at the keys). Word suggestions comes from an dictionary that prioritize words that has been used previously and the dictionary grows by learning from entered words.



Many other practical functions

Functions are included for spell check, undo (without correction fluid) and support for clipboard. Convenient is also to move the paper in all four directions using arrow-keys, however it is of course also possible to drag the paper around by placing and dragging the finger on the paper).
